The thesis statement I've chosen for Essay 1 is the following: Improving speaking skill can improve other academic skills because practice in speaking helps us listening smoothly, get the interpersonal communication skills and think about "What is the second language?".

How do "good" college teachers present information?

　According to Meiland, a “good” college teacher presents information in the following way. The teachers teach the students “what is currently believed”, and they spend much time explaining about the basis on which this information is currently believed. Also, they require that the students should think the reason why this information is believed. Why do they use this method? That’s because, they think that it is necessary for the students to know about the basis of belief, and seek the answer by own self. In my opinion, I agree with the opinion of Meiland. It is useful for the students to doubt the things which are taught, and think by themselves, in order to become a clever and intellectual person. Thinking by own myself stimulates the brain. Stimulating the brain makes the person more logical. If you want to develop your brain, only you have to do is using your brain. The curiosity of seeking the truth is the most important for the students. In other word, the world needs critical thinking at now.
