We had a last class in 2010. We discussed Fukuyama's article.
Even if he is a political scientist, he wrote the essay about Bioethics.
Why did he do such a thing? Is it reliable? What is the connection between politics and Bioethics?
I think Bioehics has the crucial right about the future of human beings and politics.
In other words, the distiny of politics depends on the Bioethics.
Biothics can easily decide the direction of human beings, fo example, human cloning, so people must seriously consider about this problem.
As a result, Fukuyama wrote the essay about Bioethics.
I am against human cloning.
If we allow it, the life value of human will decrease, and then the murder will increase.
I think that people should follow the Mother Nature.

Placebo 20, Dec
Today, we discussed the Bioethics.
I felt this issue is difficult to determine right or wrong.
In the discussion, I think that Placebo is ethical and necessary for the people.
This is because placebo can make patient well. Also, the work of doctor is to cure patient.
Therefore, doctor should use placebo when the doctor needs placebo for patient.
If placebo doesn't work for the patient, doctor will tell for the patient he/she uses placebo.
As a result, patient can keep calm.
I think placebo can affect good for the patient.
I saw the movie "The story of stuff".
It was very interesting opinion movie. I agree with the thought of recycle.
However, this movie highlights only negative points of US Economics.
I think this movie is very similar to propaganda.
Therefore, I need the carefull critical consideration about this movie.

Dec 17 Essay skill
Today, we learned about how to write good essay. Rab taught us a lot of things by using slide.
I think title of the essay and introduction are very important.
If they are not so interested, the readers will not read essay. Readers regard essay as boring thing. Even though the contents are important, first impression is also very important!
Therefore, I want to make good title and introduction to attract the reader's attention.

In this class, we talked about Morioka's article.
At first, Rab taught us 3B's reading. Background, Bibliography and Bias.
I have researched about Morioka's Bibliography before reading text, but I didn't think about Background and Bias. Knowing about the author's Bias is the most important thing.
Author's opinion deeply depends on the Bias, so I have to know the Bias.
I want to use 3B's method at next reading.
About brain death, I think brain death is equal to death.
My definiton of living is ability to think. Brain death person can't think because of broken brain, so it is equal death. I had read the book about brain death. In that book, about 80% people in Japan regade brain death as not living. This is very intersted opinion.
Q. Is it ethical Rab teaching students zotero only in his classes?
In my opinion, it is ethical because teaching zotero is arbitrary for teachers. ELP teachers think the own teaching method, so the ways are all different. Teachers share the minimum criterion of curriculum, and then each teacher chooses own way about class. Therfore, it is ethical.
However, Rab's computer skill is extremely supreme!!!!

Dec 15 Tut zotero
In tut class, we learned about useful item zotero.
I was very surprised at zotero! I can't believe in the ability of zotero.
By now, I struggled with works cited.
However, I will not meet with this problem from now, because of zotero.
I wanted to know about zotero from spring term!!!
Why didn't I know zotero!
Moreover, zotero is not so difficult to use.
Even if teaching how to do works cited is important, using zotero is better, I think.
Therefore I think that every ELP teacher should teach zotero.
In these days, I feel that I am very lucky because we can use the very useful technology.
I thanked for the new technology, sincerely.

Today, we discussed Shannon by using specific situations.
While doscusion, I felt this Bioethics problem was very difficult. This is because ethics depend on each person. Each ethics is different, so we can't decide which is right.
I can't decide to help the child when the eathquake happen.
I may become very panicked.
Also, we learned about communism and capitarism.
I don't know which is better. I think that both have good perspectives and negative perspectives.
Therefore, both thoughts should be mixed and implimented.
I think using both good aspectives is important for today's society.
Not China, not America. Medium of them is good, I think.

Today, we learned how to write good argumentative essay.
According to Rab, five A is the important point.
This is very effective for me because I am poor at writing essay.
Also, we studied about writing introduction.

December 8 Tut and ARW
In tut class, we learned how to use Mac computer and search the necassarry information.
As I am not good at using the computer, I must listen to Rab's explanation.
Computer is very useful and necessarry tools for the students. I was very surprised at goole wonder wheel and time line! They are very very amazing tools for researching the information.
I am very happy to know about them. I will use them for writing next essay!
Today's class, I got a lot of precious skils for school life.
I don't know that the computer is so useful.

This discussion was very meaningful for me. Everyone had the stable and good opinions, so I was shocking. I thought that first person should be rescued is the child, James Smith.
This is because James is simply young and child. My standard for judging depends on ages.
I do this thinking subconciously. Therefore, my criterion roots at ages!
I noticed this fact today.
Selecting the personal life is very very difficult question.
This topics can't be decided in several minutes.
We have to discuss for a long time.

Today's NP lecture was about Bioethics.
As I read Shannon's text, I could understand most of the contents of lecture!
Even if I haven't known abot Deontological and Teleological Ethics, through this lecture and Shannon's text, I have become interested in Bioethics.
Now, I have a little knowledges about Bioethics. Therefore, I have to research and study about this topics. Bioethics is very difficult and abstract thing. As a result, it is hard for people to argue or discuss. I think that the criterion of Bioethics depends on personal thoughts, so we can't discern which ethics is good or bad.
Ummmm...., this is very very difficult question.

Till the end of this winter term, I want to have the stable opinion about Bioethics.

This is the first article for my blog, so I am very excited!
In today's ARW class, we introduced each other in English. I found a lot of things that I don't know about my sectionmates. As I came to the program B from Program A in Fall term, I don't know about BE people well. Therefore, this self introduction was very useful for me! Thank you, Rab!

I am Shota Hemmi, from ICU high school. I like playing football very much!
My favorite football team is Montadio Yamagata. I also love Boka Juniors and AC Mirano. I really want to know Rab's favorite football team.
I want to acquire English skills, so I will have to do my best.
After this, we did the interesting games.
This games were very difficult, but I liked them very much. They were so curious that I tried these games at home again. I learned that creativity is the most important, from today's class.
As I don't have creativity, I must get it in the near future!!
